Remove ADS-B GPS Antenna

Use the following procedure to remove the ADS-B GPS Antenna. Aircraft prior to ASN 00110 may not have the ADS-B Out system installed. The ADS-B Out system requires that TT22 Transponder software is v2.13 or greater and TC20 Control Head Software is v1.14 or greater. This task is applicable to the Garmin 796 configuration only.

Task Instructions
1. Remove Left Instrument Top Panel. (Left Instrument Panel Top Panel Removal)
2. Remove the Preservation Sealing Tape from the ADS-B GPS ANTENNA and the Canopy Hinge. Figure 271

3. Remove all CABLE-TIEs securing the ADS-B GPS ANTENNA.
4. Disconnect the ADS-B GPS ANTENNA coax connector from the ADS-B GPS Receiver.
5. Gently peel off the ADS-B GPS ANTENNA from the top of the LH Canopy Hinge. Remove the ADS-B GPS ANTENNA from the aircraft.
Verification Method
The ADS-B GPS ANTENNA has been removed from the aircraft.
