Learn to Fly the Amphibious ICON A5 in Southern California; Channel Islands Aviation in Camarillo is ICON’s Newest Flight Training Partner

ICON Aircraft is excited to announce that Channel Islands Aviation (CIA) is the newest ICON Authorized Flight Training Partner. Based out of Camarillo Airport (KCMA) in Southern California, CIA is one of the largest and most established flight training schools in the region. It has been offering flight training and other aviation services at KCMA since 1976.

For adventure-lovers who want to experience the ICON A5 in the Los Angeles area, CIA will be offering the following flight training options in the award-winning ICON A5:

  • Private Pilot (PPL) or Sport Pilot (SPL) License
  • Single-Engine Sea (SES) Rating
  • Introductory/Experience Flights

Said Noah Collins, ICON’s Sr. Director of Global Sales and Service: “Situated next to the Pacific Ocean and against the Santa Monica Mountains, Southern California has always been one of the most picturesque destinations for flying the ICON A5. Camarillo is a 30-minute flight from Catalina Island or Santa Barbara in either direction, making it a perfect spot for aspiring pilots interested in earning their pilot’s license or for current pilots who may want to experience the ICON A5 firsthand.”
